# Connect Pocketshop with Your Existing Business Tools

> Pocketshop integrates with e-commerce platforms, POS systems, and AI tools to extend your loyalty app with your existing business ecosystem.

Pocketshop is built to fit into the tools you already use — not to replace them. Whether you run an online shop on Shopify, take payments through a POS terminal, or rely on AI assistants to draft communications, Pocketshop's open integrations let you connect your loyalty programme to the rest of your business so that data flows automatically and nothing falls through the gaps.

## How Integrations Connect

Pocketshop uses two primary methods to connect with external tools, depending on the type of integration.

**Native connectors** are pre-built, point-and-click connections for e-commerce platforms and POS systems. You authenticate your existing account, configure your sync preferences, and Pocketshop handles the ongoing data exchange automatically. No coding is required.

**MCP protocol** (Model Context Protocol) is the connection method used for AI tool integrations such as Google Gemini. MCP is an open, standardised protocol that lets AI assistants read and act on your Pocketshop data — including customer segments, loyalty programmes, and campaign performance — directly from within your AI tool of choice. This means you can manage your loyalty programme using natural-language prompts without switching tabs.

## Getting Started with Integrations

The fastest way to activate an integration is during your Pocketshop onboarding session. Your onboarding specialist will walk you through connecting your most important platforms and ensure your data is syncing correctly before you go live.

If you're adding an integration after launch, navigate to **Settings → Integrations** in your Pocketshop CRM. Each integration tile shows its current connection status and a guided setup flow.
